I. Introductory Provisions and Explanation of the Purpose of the General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “GTC”) govern the rights and obligations of Martin Skala, Company ID: 11695099, and her customers arising from a contractual relationship based on a concluded purchase contract.
The purchase of products is carried out on the basis of a Purchase Contract concluded between the Seller and the Buyer. The process of concluding the Purchase Contract is described in detail in Article III of the GTC.
These GTC form an integral part of the Purchase Contract and set out and explain in detail the rights and obligations of both parties to the Purchase Contract, i.e. the Buyer and the Seller.
The GTC contain information that you need to have available before purchasing selected products from me as the Seller. Please read the GTC carefully and, if you have any comments or questions, contact me before submitting your order (i.e. before clicking the “Order” button).
Contact details can be found in Article II of the GTC. By clicking the “Order” button and checking the box confirming your consent to the Terms and Conditions, you indicate that you have seen, read, and agree with the purchasing process and cooperation as described here.

The Buyer:
You become a Buyer if you conclude a Purchase Contract with me via the web interface www.skalacenter.com and purchase one of the products offered on this website.
III. Ordering Goods and Conclusion of the Contract
To order goods, click the “Add to Cart” icon. The item will be added to your shopping cart. The order is created by clicking the “Checkout” link under the shopping cart icon in the top right corner of the page. Here you will fill in your contact details, select the delivery method, and confirm the order.
Immediately after processing your order, we will send a confirmation of receipt of the order to the email address you provided. This confirmation includes the order number, product name and specification, price, delivery costs (postage), payment method, estimated delivery time, delivery address, seller details, and any additional information.
The Purchase Contract is concluded upon delivery of the confirmation email.
The contract and the GTC are concluded in the Czech language. The contract is concluded electronically and consists of your order, its acceptance by me, and these GTC.
The contract is archived in electronic form and is not publicly accessible.
IV. Product Prices and Payment
The price valid at the time of the binding order always applies and does not change if prices increase or decrease in the future. All prices are final, including applicable VAT according to Czech law (usually 10% for books), but do not include delivery costs.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, I am obliged to deliver the product or service only after full payment of the agreed price. Until full payment is made, the product remains my property.
The agreed price can be paid by bank transfer to the specified bank account. The buyer’s obligation to pay is fulfilled at the moment the amount is credited to the seller’s bank account.
Invoices are issued only electronically and sent to the email address provided in the order.
V. Delivery Times, Shipping Fees, and Method of Delivery
In the case of an e-book purchase, the digital content or download link will be delivered after payment to the email address provided in the order.
The product will be handed over to the carrier no later than 5 business days after payment has been credited to the bank account.
You will be informed by email once your order has been handed over to the carrier.
The following shipping fees apply:
Zásilkovna – pickup point: 69 CZK
Zásilkovna – delivery to address: 108 CZK
No other fees or packaging costs are charged. These fees apply for deliveries within the Czech Republic.
Upon receipt, the customer must check whether the package is damaged and whether the goods are free of defects. In case of visible damage, the customer is entitled to refuse the shipment.
We are not responsible for delayed delivery caused by the carrier or for incorrectly provided delivery addresses. Ownership of the goods passes to the customer upon receipt and full payment. Risk of accidental damage passes upon receipt.
VI. Warranty and Complaints Procedure
Incomplete or damaged shipments must be reported without undue delay, no later than 48 hours after receipt, by email to skalacenterinfo@gmail.com.
If you conclude the contract as a consumer, you may claim rights from defective performance within 24 months from receipt of the goods.
As the seller, I guarantee that the product has no defects upon receipt. If you are a consumer and a defect appears within 6 months, it is presumed that the product was defective upon receipt.
In the case of irremovable defects, repeated defects after repair, or multiple defects, you have the right to request replacement or withdraw from the contract. In the case of removable defects, you may request repair, a reasonable discount, or replacement.
Warranty does not apply to wear and tear, improper use, failure to follow instructions, improper maintenance, or improper storage.
Complaints must be submitted without undue delay. Complaints will be resolved within 30 days unless agreed otherwise.
VII. Withdrawal from the Contract
A consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days.
The goods must be returned within 14 days to:

Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
The withdrawal notice must be sent within the withdrawal period.
Withdrawal is not possible for:
sealed goods unsealed for hygienic reasons
customized goods
digital content delivered with prior consent before the withdrawal period expired
The seller is not obliged to refund money before receiving the returned goods.
Returned goods must be undamaged, unused, and clean, preferably in original packaging.
The seller may withdraw from the contract due to out-of-stock or unavailable goods.
VIII. Complaints and Consumer Dispute Resolution
If you have any complaints, contact us at the address listed in Article II or via email at skalacenterinfo@gmail.com.
Supervision is carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and the Office for Personal Data Protection.
In case of a consumer dispute, the consumer may use out-of-court dispute resolution via the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
IX. Final Provisions
These GTC are an integral part of the Purchase Contract and are binding for both parties.
The seller is not bound by any codes of conduct.
The seller is not liable for errors caused by third-party interference or misuse of the online store.
The seller may unilaterally amend these GTC. The version valid at the time of the order applies.
An attachment to these GTC is a model withdrawal form.
These GTC are valid from 01 April 2021.
